The applicant must provide documentary evidence of the amount of investments in Hong Kong. The Immigration Department will consider whether the amount of investment is able to support the business. The number of jobs created locally.
An employment contract with a company in Hong Kong, a decision on appointment to a position.
Company documents: business registration certificate, valid business registration certificate, forms NNC1, NAR1.
Licenses, certificates for doing business in Hong Kong.
An employment contract between you and the Applicant (indicating your position, salary and other benefits).
The latest audited financial statements (balance sheet, profit and loss statement, income tax declaration).
A business plan that contains detailed information about the proposed commercial activity, the amount of investment, job creation, opening of an office/showroom/warehouse with a planning horizon of 2 years (including income statement, cash flow statement and balance sheet). If necessary, the Immigration Department will seek advice from a government agency or a professional organization to evaluate the business plan and contribution to the economy of Hong Kong.
Evidence of the company’s business activities, such as copies of contracts, invoices, or proof of planned transactions;
Presentation documents with detailed information about the company, such as commercial activities, operating hours, company history, product range, sales markets, membership in the Chamber of Commerce (if any), etc. (supported by catalogs, brochures, etc.).
If the applicant conducts the relevant business abroad or has joined a business in Hong Kong, he/she must provide a profit and loss statement and a balance sheet showing the business turnover and profit for the previous year.
Lease agreements for office space/warehouse/retail or industrial space.
Confirmation of hiring local employees (for example, payment to the Mandatory Provident Fund).
The organizational structure of the business, the required number of employees and positions based on the nature and scale of the business. The number and level of jobs actually created.
Introduction of new technologies or skills (if applicable). The applicant must explain how the new technology can affect the Hong Kong economy, as well as the patent.
To apply for a residence permit, the applicant must appoint a local sponsor. The sponsor can be an individual or a legal entity.
If the sponsor is an individual, then he must meet the criteria:
- be 18 years of age or older;
- be a resident of Hong Kong; and
- be familiar with the applicant.
